Zombify!
Ok.... im out of practice doing this. if you're reading this you should know why XD;;; Anyways yesterday was quite a fun day for me, met alot of old faces, and that got me into this wierd lj-ing mood. but, me being the procrastinator that i am, left the lj-ing to today, so lets get it on. :D
I yesterday with a trip to kitsu's place, to give him the haruhi dan-cho band and picking him up to go meet with "Auntie Tailor" for my Kurogane costume. Before going there, we had to go to Sunway Pyramid to meet up with rain, shun, aiko, fenix and some other ppl i dont think i know (^^;) for lunch. After lunch, rain and fenix followed my car while shun and aiko went with... Koori or something? (im bad at names sue me) On the way to the car, i realised that the place where i parked my car was new (evident by all the construction going on... yes im blur) and had the standard construction smell, which i commented as "cement smell". this comment, backed by fenix, got instantly laughed at by kitsu. to those who dont understand this, you dont deserve to read this XD
Aaaanyways, we then sent fenix to her house (with the ushi gate, AND USHI MAILBOX!) and then went to auntie tailor's house. There, we saw some costumes the auntie's making for others, including a tifa costume made of VERY THICK LEATHER. gilaness. later on, shun, aiko, the aforementioned koori (?), some other guy and also... *drumrolls* jackee arrived. her coming was unexpected, but when rain told me that her house is like.. a stone's throw away, pahamlah aku.
So, onto the costume explaining itself. now, imagine a noob, with crappy drawing skills, bringing a horrible sketch of very complicated costume to an auntie who doesnt even speak any languages he knows. that noob would be me. yay~ [/death] thankfully jackee, the goddess of complicated costumes, was there to explain the costume to the auntie. the downside of this being, she wants to make my kurogane costume as tight as possible. [/death^2] Oh well, better than nothing. And the price the auntie quoted? RM250, which is quite understandable imo. (^^;)
Afterwards, jackee had to elave because of classes, which left aiko and shun to explain their uber dolfie-inspired costume to the tailor while kitsu, rain and me talked about the other tsubasa group rain's planning to do. when everything was finished, i sent rain to her parent's office, shun and aiko to the lrt station, and went to Comic Corner with kitsu, where he bought some cards for his simic deck.
We then went to his house for some magic playing, where he thoroughly trashed my rakdos sligh and other stupid decks with his simic and monored sligh decks. yes, this is why i dont play constructed anymore :P takpa, next time i come back from japan i call for a rematch! XPXP
April Report (continued)
19 (tuesday) : yes, today is the day i go skating, but i want to mention something about my surveying class today. today, we were separated into 8 groups of around 7 ppl each and were instructed to draw a plan of a building in the university grounds with a some sort of tool where you look through a hole to align the drawn line with a pole. it was kind of fun, actually. XD
before i get started, let me say beforehand that today is Coincidence Day. i'll get back to that later. anyways, onto the skating. i called Kana after i finished the surveying class. she said to meet her in front of the university train station around 6 pm. i came early and boom, coincidence #1 came.
but Kana wasn't there. so i waited patiently while the senior skating club members made small talk with the freshmen. it was around 6.10 when Kana finally came along with a friend. boom, coincidence #2.
well, Kana came, but since she was late, i had no time to make small talk with her. T.T then, something odd caught my eye. there was an american in the group!
figuring that almost no one in the group will have the courage to talk to a gaijin, i approached him. his name was Alex, a russian-born American, who was on a 14-month-almost-around-the-world trip. we talked all the way to the skating rink in the train, sardine-can packed between japanese highschoolers (who were cute XD) and the equally cute Kana and her friends.
it seems that during his trip to Korea, Alex had met and befriended Ikami-san, another member of the IFA and was also joining the outing. Since Alex was planning to visit Japan after Korea, he decided to let Ikami-san plan his Japan trip for him, figuring that who would know japan better than a japanese. he started his japan trip in hiroshima early this month, and then stopped by tottori just earlier this week. later he will be visiting kobe, kyoto, nagoya, and a lot of other places on his way to tokyo, where he will be meeting another japanese friend of his. anyways, while we were walking towards the rink, he caught a glimpse of my keitai's wallpaper, which was an art of a Magic: the gathering card [Uyo if any of u are wondering (to masa, if ur reading: it's the art i drew as ur bday gift)]. so, onto #3:
tonikaku, we reached the skating rink after a 10 minutes walk from the tottori main station. so onto the skating part of the night. most of the newcomers were around my level, and there were a few who could even do a simple spin, so the night wasn't wasted on skating lessons. thank god. after seeing our skating level, the senpais decided to let us skate while giving us some tips to skate much properly. alex was amazingly good (good as in not falling) since he did tell me he never skated in the last 10 years. >.>
oh yeah, i forgot to mention one thing. before we went skating, me and alex met the teacher in charge of the skating club. and u guessed it, it leads to koinkidink numero quatro.
see what i meant by coincidence day? <.< anyways, after the skating session the senpais did a little performance for us newcomers. they were quite good, if u ignore the one fall by Kana. ^^
afterwards, the skating club held a party on university grounds. it was quite fun, except for one thing; they served japan curry, which i cant eat. in the end, the senior members went to a shop nearby to buy me some bread to eat. needless to say i was touched. ^^ the party ended around 10 pm, and just when i thot coincidence day has ended, BAM!
5 coincidences in one day. wtf? oh well, it did make today a very interesting day, so ;)
23 (saturday) : heh. i went to Universal Studios Japan (which will be referred to as USJ) today. we woke around 4.30 am today, and left for Osaka (a 4 hours drive from tottori) at 6.30 am in the morning. we arrived at USJ at 10.30 am, as planned, and though there was a line, it was "surprisingly short", according to my senpais. we stepped on USJ grounds immediately afterwards to find a tired Najmi, a student of Osakadai whom we promised to meet at 9.30. janji melayu la katakan~ XPXP
anyways, we made our way to the funnest ride in USJ (senpai's words), the Amazing Spiderman 3D ride. the queue was 1 hour long, but what made it an interesting wait was that they fashioned the line as if we were taking a tour of the daily bugle. interesting, to say the least. as for the ride itself, it was major fun. we had to wear these 3d goggles and ride this machine that made it feel that we were actually moving. coolness.
the 2nd ride was the back to the future ride. the qait was amazingly short, kinda like 15 minutes. the ride itself was okay, with us watching a 3d imax movie on a moving dalorean machine. but what made it interesting is the fact that i saw a fma cosplayer in the queue. i knew something was up, but since i was with my senpais, i had to follow their plans. oh well.
the next ride we went on was actually a show called Backdraft. it features the pyrotechnics involved in making fires in movies, and ends with an amazing "chemical plant getting burned" scenario. too bad we had to stand the whole time. heck, i even missed part of the show because i was standing behind someone. and he wasnt even as tall as i am! ><
afterwards, we went on the jurassic park ride. at first i thought "oh, just a slow water ride with moving dinosaurs on the sidelines". how wrong i was. i dont wanna spoil the ending, but let me just say it WILL leave you breathless, and WET. XD
by this time our tummies were grumbling, so we made our way to the only restaurant in the whole of USJ with edible food, the Peanuts Fast Food Joint. not only was it the only place where we could eat, there was only one MEAL we could eat. this meant 14 ppl eating the same fillet-o-fish set. >.>
after rediscussing our plans, we decided to go watch the Waterworld live-action show. its kinda funny watching a live action english show being done by japanese actors in japanese. nevertheless, the show had its fair share of fighting, gunplay, jetskis and explosions. all in all, the perfect show to showcase what Universal Studios is all about.
next up on our itinery was the Shrek 4D movie. the wait rivalled that of spiderman's, so i knew it would be worth it. and it was! the story focuses on what happened after shrek 1, and would have been fun even without the 4d factor! that said, the 4d factor just sells it. imagine, watching shrek sneeze and feeling water sprayed onto your face. EEW. oh yeah, i forgot to mention. while waiting for the shrek show, i finally found out the mystery of the fma cosplayer: there was a fma movie studio tour next door to the shrek theater. there were national alchemist cosplayers, and even a statue of ed and al. i wanted to go, but as i stated earlier, have to stick to my senpai's plans. T.T
next stop, terminator! before the show, we were treated to a 'ceramah' of sorts from a hyper emo secretary of cyberdyne (the company that makes them terminators in the movie) she asked questions like "where are you from?" which made us make Adam, a visiting cousin of a senpai to answer "Malaysia!" she proceeded to ask more questions to Adam, but we were so busy laughing at the way he answered that we didnt catch the question, to translate for him. poor kid. XD the show was pretty much the same "what happens after the movie" scenario, but the i enjoyed the ending. XD
with USJ closing in an hour's time, the group was split into two. one wanted to go on the spiderman ride one more time, and the other wanted to do somthing else. i opted for the somthing else group, hoping to get to go on the fma studio tour, but the senpais wanted to go on the jaws ride, so jaws it was. the ride had us going on a boat ride of amityville before getting attacked by, u guessed it, a great white shark. me and najmie spent most of the time dodging the water sprays rather than enjoying the ride, so yeah, it was fun XD
after the ride ended, i ran to the fma studio building only to find the tour has alrady stopped. DANG. at least i got to take pictures with the alchemist coaplyers, who were on their way home when i chanced upon them near the exit.
10.30pm. most of the rides have already closed, and we were VERY hungry. so, we headed to the nearest restaurant, Hard Rock Cafe. XD it was my first time, and since i ran to the studio building earlier, i had to sit at a different table than the guys. this meant i didnt have a clue what to order. i guessed ordering a simple fish and chips wont hurt, and since i was doubly hungry today, i decided an ice cream sundae wont hurt either. let's just say today my intuition took a day off. the fish and chips was like designed for 2 people, and the sundae? the waitress gave me 4 plates along with the it. ==;;; i had to tapau half of the fish and chips to make way for the sundae, since the others were already full when it arrived on my table.
we left after i ganbatte-ed eating that monstrosity of a sundae. at first i thot i planend to stay up the whole ride as i slept halfway coming to USJ. but my senpai just had to play ciara's album (which to me was dead sleepy to listen to) and slept before we even left osaka. heh.
we reached tottori around 4am sunday, and i got back to sleep before i even landed on my futon. XD;;
okay. now that we're up-to-date, let me just say that we will be going to Saga (8 hours from tottori from what i heard) for a soccer tournament among AAJ students tonight, so expect the report around next week. and yes, ill be playing defender for tottori, so any good luck wishes are welcomed. XD
p/s : i've uploaded the pictures ive took so far into my photobucket account, so if any of you are interested, hop on by to http://photobucket.com/albums/v108/cyberkal for a look-see, ne. ^^/
April Report
let me begin by saying sorry for not updating/going on irc for a few weeks. i had just moved to my new apato (shared with 3 other Malaysian students) and we have yet gotten our internet line. T.T anyways here's a list of all the interesting things i've done since april 1st.
1 (friday) : moved in to our new apato, followed by rigorous shopping that would've done any girl proud. but since all 4 of us are boys, we were just DAMNED TIRED
3 (sunday) : to commemorate our moving in, our senpais brought us somewhere in tottori (sorry i forgot the place's name) for ichigogari, which basically means "cut strawberries". u heard that right, i went to a strawberry farm and had around 2 bowlfuls of red sweet freshly picked strawberries. XDXD
4-7 (monday-thursday) : the orientation of our university, Toridai. there were lectures on how to register yourself into Toridai, how to register the classess ur taking and some other crap which we 75% didnt understand. >.> there was also the niugakushiki (entrance ceremony) which we skipped, since we woke up late and had to go to the town hall to get our gaijin cards.
8 (friday) : class starts. my first lesson was Earth Science, and the first subject we touched was the history of how we view the universe. u know, galileo, newton, solar systems, that stuff. it's funny seeing my hard-work memorising Asterisk paid off in class, since most of the lecture was about stars. (people who know the song would understand)
9 (saturday) : we went to Fuse Park in tottori for hanami. we barbequed under the sakura trees, played sepak raga for a while, and i had the chance to go walk my senpai's pet ferret, which garnered quite a crowd wherever he went. >< we later had a friendly soccer match with the tottori arabians. we lost 6-4 in a 1 hour match. not bad seeing this was the first time most of us exercised. XD
14 (thursday) : i finally got my keitai (hand phone)!! it's a typical japanese silver 3g flip-phone with a 1.0 megapixel built in camera which sends emails instead of sms. it costs me a whopping 15,000 yen but i think its worth it. XD oh, if u wanted know, my phone's call ringtone is Pride by High and Mighty Color, while my email ringtone is none other than Asterisk by Orange Range. oh i love japanese technology. XO
16,17 (saturday, sunday) : this time we had an orientation for international students. the numbers surprised me a bit. let's see... 5 canadians, 2 africans, 7 chinese, 7 koreans and 4 malaysians. in the middle of the orientation we had a party held by Toridai's International Friendship Association (IFA). we saw a mochi-making show, we ate a few traditional japanese snacks, we played a few traditional japanese toys, but basically we mingled amongst ourselves.
it was here that i met Kana-san, a cute girl a year older than me who's studying agriculture in Toridai. she's friends with my senpai, which i figure is the only reason she approached us. she mentioned that she belongs to the university's figure skating club, and later invited us to go visit her club's training session the next tuesday. i seized the chance and asked her number, just in case i wanted to go. XDXD
damn. the library's closing. i'll continue what happened yesterday (19th April) tomorrow. wait for it. i guarantee you it's an interesting read. XD
p/s : oh yeah. i forgot to tell u guys my new keitai email address. it's kaos.theorem&ezweb.ne.jp feel free to send emails at me, just remember to switch & to a @, but please, no spam. ><
Tottori Week
day 6 & 7 [saturday, 26/3 + sunday, 27/3]:
saturday, not unlike wednesday, was boring. we just went around tottori, comparing prices for keitais and other stuffs needed for our house. in the end we didnt even buy a keitai, coz the store with the cheapest price (where my friends bought thier laptops) was already closing when we got there. >.>
sunday morning. went to buy the keitais. the 3g phones we liked were out of stock. had to wait till april. just our luck >< so, to drown our frustations, we went to the tottori sand dunes. it was ... wierd, seeing a small desert between the forest and the sea. the sand dunes has camel and horse rides, a near-vertical sand dune (which we climbed) and even an oasis! afterwards, the guys went to eat a nashi-softokurim (pear-flavoured soft ice cream) while i played with a black cat while trying to get over my sudden wooziness.
i got over it later that day, just before we went to a pasta restaurant to have dinner with our senpais who just came back to malaysia. it was my first time eating cream spaggetti with prawns.
so that wraps up my first week at tottori. sorry for the late updates. and i still havent found the time to upload the piccies.
Tuesday Late Night Tottori Outing
we had an outing with our senpais last tuesday night. first we went karaoke-ing at a karaoke joint with 'kontena's as rooms. at least it was cheap (500 yen a person for 3 hours!). the other ichinens (1st years, 4 of us for those who forgot) were a bit sheepish, so i went first after the senpais showed us how to set what songs comes next. guess what song i chose! .... ASTERISK!!! XD sayang i cant read the kanji fast enough to rap decently ><
i also sang nami tamaki's believe and reason, 3eb's semi-charmed life and shakalabbits' hoshizora no shita de. i wanted to finish with another english song, but my senpais were so mesmerised by anuar's (one of the ichinens) rendition of N'Sync's This I Promise You that they requested an encore. and anuar doesnt even like N'Sync... poor fellow XP
we stopped at 1.30 as the sannens (3rd years, 2 of them) had to sleep early. the ninens (2nd years, also 2 of them) then brought us to a pay-per-entry arcade called JJ's where played old skool arcades (they didnt even have ez2d nor taiko there ><) until 4.30. we slept the moment we came back home that night. but it was very teh fun! i hope they'll bring us out again in the near future!! (coz the only way we can go there at night is by car, and only the senpais have cars, for now)
well, that's it for now. stay tuned as i move into our new house this 1 or 2 April. this is shoji, signing off. over XD
Tottori Week day 5 [friday, 25/3]: later that night the guys went to buy their computers, which later turned out to be the same Sony Vaios for each of them. they even got a discount for buying in bulk. heh. u shouldve seen the cashier's face when they said 3 computers please. XD and then after dinner we went to sleep in our futon. ill continue part 3 of Tottori Week after this, coz im leaving now to buy our keitais. till then, this is shoji, signing out. over. XPXP p/s: piccies will be on9 soon. matte ne~~
day 3 & 4 [wednesday, 23/3 + thursday, 24/3]:
we shopped. and shopped. and did some other things, which i will list here:
one words for ya. SNOW! we woke up to a cold white afternoon (yeah, we're late risers. XP) we later continued our house-hunt, but this time it ended in success. XD we found ourselves a nice 1st-storey apato with 3 rooms, a kitchen and a nice view, all at a negotiably low price of 60,000 yen (which divided by 4 becomes 15,000 yen per person a month, which is lower than the university's college rent)
Tottori Week
day 1 [sunday, 20/3 + monday, 21/3]:
i arrived at KLIA around 6 pm with my family. Our flight was at 11.55pm, so... {fast forward} 11pm. we were early. too early. so i pulled out my natsumi and had a PV marathon, starting with my new love, Morning Musume's Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari. it's just SOOOOO KYOOOOOTE. we boarded the Boeing 777 an hour later and after a short 6 hours we found ourselves disembarking at the (VERY COLD) Kansai International Airport. a few senpais were waiting for us there, where they had us transport our luggage to our respective universities. we then boarded a few busses and made our way to Chisun Hotel in Shin-Osaka, where we had our 2 day orientation with the JPA. putting the orientation course aside, here's a list of the things i did there on day one:
day 2 [tuesday 22/3]:
the orientation went on until 12pm, where we went our seperate ways. the 4 of us (the tottorians) rode on the Super Hakuto 7 (a Tokkyusha, not nearly as fast as a Shinkansen) on an express route to Tottori. 1.19-3.45 : Slept. The guys woke me up when we got to Tottori Station. One thing immediately caught my mind : Tottori is MUUUUCH colder than Osaka. *brrrr* A phone call and a few minutes later, we were in our senpai's car, on our way to our reception party at Sushi Waku (where they say has sushi much tastier than Sushi King) and later went to buy futons for us to sleep in. A dinner after and we all went to sleep in our futons in Abe's house.
Well, that's all the time i have. Stay tuned for the remaining days to "Tottori Week". Ja. This is shoji, signing out. Over. XD XD
the dinosaur revives! *GUAH* and be careful not to trip on any fossils lying around too. XD okay, enough messing around. like most of you know, i'm going to Japan this Sunday (KLIA, Terminal C, boarding at 9pm, be there) So in celebaration of me finally getting there, i decided to revamp my blog. i changed the background image so it doesn't mesh with the words.i also tweaked the blog's code a bit because i was told my old code was designed for IE, and i've converted to Firefox. so, what do ya think? (oh yeah, i also made a comment option available beneath each post to replace my now dead chatterbox, so do tell me what you think, ne)
since i called this a revival more than an update for the blog, i won't go into what happened the last 3 months i abandoned the blog. in a nutshell, i passed my exams, i went to a few outings and i decided to cosplay Kurogane [Tsubasa RC] and Kaien Shiba [Bleach] for CF 2005, that is, if i make it to CF la. *prays CF is held during his winter holidays* oh, and since we're on the topic, here are my cosplay siggies. i made the kurogane one (along with the other Tsubasa group's siggies) while sets made the kaien shiba one. enjoy:
moving on. as i mentioned earlier, i'm bound to Japan this Sunday, to further my studies in Civil Engineering at Tottori Daigaku. if you're wondering where the hell Tottori is, it is a city near Hiroshima and Osaka (near as in 5 hours drive ><) if ur still blur, go google it. *heh* anyways, in preperation for my 4 years of living there, i went on a shopping these past 2 weeks. things worth mentiong:
this is also going to be my last time online in malaysia before i go to Japan, because tomorrow my mom is banning me from my computer. "it's too close to your flight, you need to concentrate, blabitibla~ blabitibla~". parents... >.>
well, i guess that is all for now. stay tuned cause in a few weeks time this blog will brought to you live from the god-forsaken land that is Tottori, and i promise there will be piccies. PROMISE. Oh, not forgetting, i hereby declare this dinosau... i mean, blog, revived! this is shoji, signing off. over ;)
after much pressure from moi friends (too much to put here, u know who u are :P) i've decided to do my last post for the year. there, you happy? >:
a lot has happened in the 6 months i've been AWOL. i got my YELLOW volkswagen, i nearly surpassed the 'ponteng kelas' quota of my school, deepavali came, raya came, xmas came, CF & Cosmas came, i've been Kampung Baru-ing [read: getting lost. credits to BMJ] almost each outing i've been (this includes CF & Cosmas) and made a whole lotta friends on the way.
but now, the judgement day is coming near. the dreaded finals!!! the one where i have to pass to get to continue my studies in japan. the one that's in 2 weeks time. (10th jan to be exact) *cue horror movie bgm* anyways, wish me luck guys. i truly need it. thankies~
oh yeah, just noticed, the chatterbox in the right is gone. will repair that later :P oh, and concerning the midsems i wrote last post, i got 3A's (Physics, Maths, English), 1B (Japanese) and a C (Chemistry). heh~ at least i passed :/
hm... not blogging for a long time really getsto ya. i'm blur on what to do next. so let's just leave it at that. what do i usually do to end the blog~~~~ *thinks hard* oh yeah, this is shoji, wishing u guys a merry xmas (osoi!!) and a good year, signing off. over. XD XD
nyaa~~~~ too busy~~~~ 2/3 weeks of non-blogging~~~ gomen minna~~~ *bows* *bows* i'm also short for time, so i'll just make a review of these past 2 weeks, in no particular order (not that much happened~~)
1- got my driving licence
2- went to XY's MCC BBQ party (which was a bomb! nuff said)
3- did a repeat test for all subjects (failed miserably :P)
4- did a repeat for the maths repeat test :P
5- went to see HP3 with my honey ;)
6- receive the car keys for MY yellow volkswagen (finally!!!)
7- made a Rogue in RO :P
see? i told u not much happened~~ by the way, i have a quite.... funny story for 4. i came home last friday to find out my whole family is at Langkawi, so i called and bugged them that i'll need MY car to get around. so my father called his office and got the guy who was keeping it to return it. it came late saturday evening. *bah*
since i'm not adept at driving at night (yet) i decided to check out the car tomorrow (which is today). this afternoon when my tummy started doing the train train song from taiko, i decided to drive to McD or somewhere of the sort. went outside. put the car keys in the key slot. and that's when it happened.
the bloody fucking door won't open. --;;;;;;;
i tried everything short of breaking the glass, and it still won't open. *bah* now i have a hungry tummy, blistered fingers, bruised fist, and a newly updated blog. that's one silver lining. =_=
oh yeah, an aside from the dirtbag that is my life : it seems almost all of the licenced anime torrent-bearing websites were forced to bring them down. damn. and they're still not up! i hope this won't affect tenjo tenge and daphne~~~ T_T
well, that's all 4 now. and since my midsemester's in 2 weeks time (and what's most frightening is we still haven't finished the syllabus yet!), this'll probably my only entry this month. tune in next month for more, life a teenage dirtbag! XD XD it's me, signing off. over =_=
*cough* *cough* *cough*
looks like i have the cold~~~ but i'll still finish this blog entry. kanarazu! :P nothing much happened this week, since it was my 1-week pre-exam holiday. just sat at home and played RO mostly. but i did do some things worth blogging, hence why we r here now.
1st up, changed the font size for the blog a little, for shinnoir's (kaede's aniki whom i've yet to meet) reading ease. hope u like it. while we're on the subject, i just like to mention that i've finally (after much haggling by a select few friends) installed MSN messenger AND yahoo messenger. so add me minna to ur weekly madness sessions~~~
oh, almost forgot, i also finally did a sketch that's for myself *haven't been doing that for a LOOOOONG time* it's a fanart of my fav gal from my current fav manga, Nodoka Miyazaki from Negima! a few days later, i decided to try my hand on cg'ing it. did pretty well i guess, judging from the comments on CF. *on a side note, the guys who own Negima have released the roster of seiyuus who'll play all 31 gals of Negima! Nodoka's seiyuu : Noto Mamiko. So kawaii* Anyways, here's the sketch & cg if u haven't seen it:
also, went to M:TG's new epansion, Fifth Dawn's pre-release tournament. it started at 9am. i woke up at 8.15am. not good. rushed to CM where i got on a taxi to Parkroyal Hotel *i didn't know where it was* only to find it was IN FRONT OF SG WANG! and he charged me 10 bucks! this is daytime ROBBERY! oh well, at least i made it just in time to draft moi deck for that day, a RB weenie. but the goddess of lands was just hidoi, for that day i alternately mana screwed and mana flooded my matches. X(
but sumthin good did came out of that: i met an engineer who studied at Tokyo. he was playing my friend when we made a comment in Japanese and he was going "Nihongo hanasemasuka?" we chatted after the tournament all thru lunch, mostly either about magic or studying enginerering in Tokyo, when he decided to start his journey back home, in JOHOR! talk about die-hard. b4 he left, he gave me his card and told me "if u do make it to Tokyo, gimme a call and i'll see if i can help u in any way" w00t~~~!!
well, that's all the time i have for now. need to go practice driving for my JPJ test tomorrow. *prays hard not to fail* it's me, signing off. over. X3 X3
i know i haven't posted in 2 weeks, but like i've said b4, i'm on a tight schedule here. the lack of a FREE internet source at UM further worsens my blogging activities. i'd be damned if i had to pay for something that's free in the first place. enuff with my ramblings, let's recap what happened to me this past 2 weeks, shall we? *hope i can remember 'em all tho'*
school was what u'd expect it to be~ same old same old. i even managed to sleep in class when the director of the japanese teachers came for a visit. *kantoi yo~~* nakashiba-sensei also had us choose the 2 courses we would like to take IF we were to go to Japan. i picked Civil & Mechanical eng. the rest of the first week was boring, to say the least. so no entry. moving on...
on monday 10 May, the PASUMers arrived. all 1000+ of them. the college was sooooo packed that we have girls living in the boys' block. ^^ too bad they had boarded up all but one of the exits. otherwise~~~ *love hina, here we come* ^^
on tuesday, najmie and i decided to go to Sg Wang to cgeck out some stuff for his recently bought 1/100 freedom gundam. since i am planning to buy the katana astray model myself, i figured watching him as he progresses isn't a bad idea. during our shopping spree, animetech called me up to say that my evangelion dvd set just arrived at TS. *what luck!!!* so we gingerly headed to TS and paid the RM200 i'd been saving since last year when my first eva dvd cracked.
oh yeah, an interesting happened last friday during japanese language lessons. we had extra classes after jumaat prayers, and the senseis decided to do a chapter pre-test. that's not the fun part. AFTER the test, we gad like 1.5 hours left, so they set up a projector and showed.... wait for it.... the latest Doraemon series! LOLS~
on a side note, i just converted my lowly merchant Anarki of Loki to the long-awaited (by my friends) ForgeSmith! yay~~~ a few more levels and those elemental maces will be ready! i also discovered, funnily, that whenever i go on an RO all-niter, i'll definitely get at least two cards. *hen desu ne~*
i've also rekindled myself with M:TG after a few months hiatus yesterday. and my am i rusty. breezed thru the 4 matches with losses left and right. *so sad~~~* after the game ended at around 6PM, i decided to test my luck and see if any of the CFers were dancing at TS. lo and behold, chris/jared/cypher/ss/aiko was there. too bad i missed the others. :( after they finished up, we crammed inside chris' car and left TS for the day. the jokes they made during the trip at least helped me forget my fresh defeat. thanks alot guys. ;)
i think that covers it all for now. it's me, signing off. over. :S
graff outing aftermath
p/s : hope u like this LONG outing post. u know who u are. btw, ur dead next outing.
this time around i was ultra-early for the outing, coming at KL Sentral's at 10 am! rather than lazing around waiting for the others for an hour, i decided to go upstairs and read a book i brought along. i went back down at about 10:45, but still no one outside McD. i called gan. i got raincloud's #. tried calling. got disconnected. tried calling gan again. disconnected. realisation dawned on me, MY F*CKING PRE-PAID CREDIT'S FINISHED!! nyu~~~ T_T so i just stood in front of McD while watching KTM guys restocking their auto-ticket thingies with coins. then i saw a familiar face, the Gay Cypher~~ then he was greeted by some tall guy wearing glasses, which later introduced himself as MaX. apparently, they waiting INSIDE. with the last of us there (me. the irony!!!), we went to Times Square coz some of the others were already there.
as usual, the guys played ez2d, para², pump it up, taiko and all that stuff and i just watched. then a yellow spiderman tshirt clad girl came running to the girls. the nyaa~~s that followed were enough to tell me THE kid is here~ i also got to watch Max and Fenix kill themself on the ez2d machine. it was fun just watching i tell ya~
then, with a few haraheta's from some of the forumers (myself included) the gang decided to go to Sg Wang. waiting for the other guys to finish up, we were hanging around the entrance of the arcade, standing, talking, and generally making a scene to everyone that passed. ^^ after what seemed like an eternity, we finally went to Sg Wang, followed by another long wait for Sizer (i dunno how to spell her nick, sue me). this also meant making a scene at the side entrance of Sg. Wang. thankfully there were no guards there. then, from the horizon, we saw a blindfolded BMJ with another cosplayer. Sizer. now that everyone's here, we all went to KFC, which was packed. it's rival, McD's, was packed'er. SO, we went to the upper levels to a Korean restaurant. i opened the menu with anticipation until i reached the last page.
non-halal. damn. as a result, i went to the RBT cafe we passed earlier to see if i could order some takeout. Max also decided to tag along. apparently, it doesn't. so i chose the next best thing, the sushi station next to the korean restaurant. it had takeout. so while we waited, i chatted with Max. nice fellow. after eating, somebody (kidchan?) realised that the walls of the restaurant had small pieces of paper posted all over it. naturally, they HAD to post something as well. so, a mini drawing event was held with 10+ ppl sitting on a bar, sketching. and they were all great!
suddenly my hp rang. it was Syed, and he was in Sg Wang. i went to meet him while the others were preoccupied with drawing. i came back just in time to see kidchan finish sketching her piece, a "Kitsune & Max caught dating" one, and was whipping out her color pencils. COLOR PENCILS? yes, color pencils. apparently, she brings them around everywhere she goes, just in case of times like this. after finishing up (the shopowner looked like he was on the verge of shooing us), someone suggested bowling, so went to the bowling alley. then Sizer & Kidchan saw an FMA model ad inside Stardust Memories and went mad. the others were still discussing bout the bowling thing. after a show of hands, they decided agianst it. so on to Sun Comic for us. 2 Sun Comics later, the punyan-tai, Max and Ezel decided to go home. the rest of us? Times Square *duh*
there, the dancers went on a dance dance frenzy while i read tofuking's recently bought bara api recca. finished the book, they were still dancing. so i went to scout for some things i needed. first up, Animetech. entered the shop and immediately saw an EVA dvd sitting behind the counter! went up and ordered the thing right away. 200 bucks for 5 dvds of 26 eps of eva + death & rebirth. nice~~ then went to an electronics store somewhere on the same lvl (i think) to check on a Sony Atrac CD player i haad my eyes on. 800 bucks. bah, for that kind of money i would buy it from Sony Wings, thank u. moving on, i went on search for the right kind of sunglasses for Juubei. zilch. oh well.
came back to the arcades; still dancing. so took a seat and just watched. and watched. and watched. good thing i don't bore easy *yeah right. u need 300 songs on a CD why?* by this time, all of the other forumers had already left. 8pm, and the dancing guys (Kitsune, BMJ, XY, Sizer, Chris) decided to stop dancing. too tired or just no money, i don't care. now it gets fun again. we went to get some snacks and chatted. and chatted. then, chris offered to give us a ride. but there were 5 of us, excluding him. oh well. now the other problem, who gets to sit in front? so we did what we had done thru out the outing to decide, gunting batu kain XP XP and i won! lucky~~
first chris sent XY to her house. on the way, at a red light, BMJ who was next to the door opened it and stuck his foot out. the driver of the car next to us was like "WTF??!?!?!?!". it was hillarious. then chris dropped me and kitsune (we're both Shah Alam-ians, who'd thunk?) at Subang Jaya's KTM and went of with BMJ and Sizer to yam-cha~ then me and Kit chatted until the Shah Alam station. cool guy this one. no signs of his girl side ^^ *jgn marah~~* then we went on our seperate ways. all in all, a fun outing. the end. with that, it's me, signing out. over :D :D
the week started almost as bad as last week, what with Himi and Tenzan leaving the CF forums. oh well, no use fretting bout it now, what's done is done *tho' i know not what the fuck happened*. neways, monday marked the start of AAJ's academic year, meaning we all will be blessed with the oppotunity to be confused by Physics, Chemistry and Maths in a whole new different language! YAY~~~ the rest of the week went like any other weeks u spend in class; Buh-Oh-Rink! At least my homeroom teacher was a freshie! *meaning he just came to malaysia and doesn't know, or let know, a single thing about us!* He was intrigued by our doa sessions b4 class, mystified by our wearing the baju melayu on fridays, and was revolted by our king-of-fruits, the good-old durian ^^ this will be good year~
on a different note, i just started *or should i say restarted* my Taekwondo lessons last Wednesday. just came to experience of sweating like shit again, but i got more than what i expected; we did workouts for each body part imaginable *except that! i'm not hentai, k?* the sensei's a DRILL-SERGEANT i tell you! now it even hurts to breathe deeply~ T_T ....am definitely going for next week's session~~ :D :D
just remembered, today's the start of the 4 day weekend! and my parents aren't home till Tuesday! what should i do~~ homework? sketch for my AAJ t-shirt thingy? sketch for AAJ's mag? ro? anime/manga dl frenzy? U DECIDE! post in my chat-thingy over there and decide my future! and if i'm lucky enough to wake up in time tomorrow, i'll probably be going to graffiti's outing, so decide if i'm going for that too~
oh yeah, btw, found this scattered all over u guys' blogs, so copied it like any good teenage-dirtbag would do :P :P
and yes, tokairin's not my first name. i say screw it. at least it got everything bout me right^^. i got nothing resembling a personality, i don't give a hell to most things in my life, i'm lonely most the time, and that's coz i dun hang around that much. that's all for today. tune in tuesday to see who the homeviewers voted off this week... oops, wrong site.
i mean, it's me, screwing off, i mean, signing off~ over! XD XD
bday gathering aftermath
i was totally late~ i mean come-at-the-last-minute late :( i was so late they were already discussing what to do afterwards when i came! at least i did get to meet/see IRL most of the CF forumers (also saw a glomp being done in front of my own 2 eyes for the first time!) the gang then split into 2, with me going with Gan to TS. there i watched (what else?) gan kill craymel (and himself) on Taiko no Tatsujin. Btw, i still can't get TRAIN*TRAIN out of my head~~ @_@
then hisashi came with his pizzas and we went on an eating frenzy, esp me since that WAS my breakfast. Thanks alot Hisashi! Most of u must've heard what happened then, so i'll just skip that. Afterwards, we started the introductions again (hisashi and me were late, remember?) and after giving our gifts to aiko, we went our seperate ways. i discovered that me, Kiyaa and hitokiri were going to be riding the same train, so grabbed the chance and made some small talk with them. it was very fun talking 2 u guys~~ ;)
that's all 4 now 4 my special aftermath report. it's me, signing off. over :D
i started this week VERY badly; on Sunday nite i studied like hell 4 a test i thought was held on Monday (which was actually on Tuesday), slept late, overslept, woke up at 1:30PM (class ends at 1PM),went to AAJ, apologised profusely to Katsuda-sensei, went to Low Yat with Nikey and Fru (will be later refered to as "my buds", all "my buds" before this post are either them or my AAJ clique) for a bit of CS & RO and also to pick up some of my things from them (they are not UM students, btw) later to find out they didn't bring it with them, went back at 10PM, realised I left all of my books & homeworks at AAJ, damning it, decided to study at the Study Room, ended up chatting with the guys about RO, slept late (again :P), woke up with a bad headache the next day, took a Kanji Vocab quiz i didn't know nothing about and finally took THAT test tho' i couldn't remember anything i studied last 2 nites due to the headache. did i also metion that i completely forgot to bring my Samsung hp charger? the fact that basically EVERYONE ELSE uses Nokia didn't help either. I hate myself~~ :P
on a lighter note, i did get to finish (finally!) that darned "Bunny Band" quest in RO. And the Creamy Card i got during my search for the 100 feathers was just icing on the cake. And i like icing ^^. I also managed to level my merc up to job 35 to finally get cart rev! YAY~~~ 5 more job levels to my long-anticipated forgesmith. once more, YAY~~~ :D :D
on thursday, i called my buds with Najmie's (one of the AAJ clique) hp i borrowed to confirm our outing. KLCC. movie. fine. walked straight from AAJ without eating lunch at managed to reach KLCC b4 them. so i decided to check out what movies we could watch on such short notice. Super Sapiens. *chuckle* bad title, but good movie. later on Nikey told me he forgot to bring the RO Monster Guide Book he promised, so i decided to tag along with him to KDU hall. Fru also went. there, we all had a good dose of anime in the form of, wait for it, KIMI GA NOZOMU EIEN! the best anime imo for 2004. we also succeeded in converting Jabar, one of Nikey's friend into watching anime. now the, how do u say it, mission impossible. to wake up by 7am Friday and reach AAJ by bus before 9am. i failed miserably. got there on 9:20, and got quite a lecture from Mori-sensei. X(
went back later Friday to register for my driving pre-test, only to find out that the driving school's closed! Argh! Strike Two! to drown my sorrow, i went on a dl-frenzy again, tho' this time it's just Bakuretsu Tenshi, RO:The Anime, Tenjou Tenge, Chrno Crusade, and a Kiminozo April Fool's Special (which is stuck at 98.5% since this morning). no Daphne this time, coz i was informed that Lunar stopped subbing it to make room for newer animes. *wishes that they will continue it someday* as for the other animes, i leave it to Nadiah and her bro. arigato~
fast forward to this morning, registered for the pre-test, which is on 8am tomorrow. this means i will probably be late for tomorrow's CF/AXN birthday gathering. gomen ne tenchan, ganchan, aiko~
with that, i'm signing off. over.
the week started okay, with a KANJI test on monday~~ (totally forgot bout that) as expected, i did poorly and only managed to score 41/60. if that wasn't enough, Katsuda-sensei made us do 20x corrections of each Kanji we got wrong. My arm practically broke off that day. T_T the rest of the week went on okay, except for that sudden visit from Green batik-clad high schoolers. Sad they didn't stay for long tho, i had something in mind for them after class ]:)
with the *long-anticipated* launch of Ragnarok Online 5.0 (Juno), my buds and I went on an RO-frenzy, playing all thru the night, trying to get their crusader & rogue (who now decided to be a monk instead, DANG!) ASAP. Went to Geffen with my Hunter the first time that day, to get my friend a few Pumpkin Heads for the crusader quest. One comment : TOO MANY AGGRO's @_@. My Hunter practically died every 15 minutes there. He is so indebted to me~~ At least he did help me with my Bunny Band quest (50 more god-damn feathers to go!)
was suppposed to have a driving pre-test yesterday, but due to my baka self that forgot to fill in the compulsory form, i had to cancel it. parents were pretty much angry bout that, but how should i know?? T_T The silver lining to this sad episode is that now I have ample time to go to PC Fair with my buds! No RO this time around, tho :P Did a little scouting for any laptops I'd may buy, and found out the price haven't changed since last year's PC Fair! Oi! What's the point then! *GRRR*
I did buy a nifty little Pen Drive the size of a Memory Stick called Intelligent Stick for my mother. Cute. Will probably buy a couple of them at the end the year. Another thing that caught my eye that day was a tablet device called... Inous (?) or something. i forgot. it was from Wacom. It came with Adobe Photoshop if i was not mistaken. The price was around RM800. Good? Bad?
That's all for now i think. It's me, signing off. Over.
went for my driving lessons yesterday; in the middle of a rainy day no less! was thoroughly nerve-wrecked, and even managed to "kill" the car a few times (never did that before~). after 2 hours of hell (literally, the aircond was broken @_@), the only thing my instructor had to say was "mada mada desu yo~~*" ;~~~
later on yesterday night i officially announced to the world (ok, CF forumers~ same difference :P) that, if luck is on my side, that i'll be cosplaying Juubei Kakei this coming GEEX (17-20th June for those not in the know). even made a bantai sig for the CF forums. i would say it was a good choice as some forumers either made glomp threats (it's a good thing, right? ^^) or offered to go as Getbackers characters as well~~ neways, here's the bantai sig i said earlier:
okay, so begins my life on the 'net. officially. hajimemashite. yoroshiku. ;)
i just started my 2nd year in AAJ too this week, and thought of celebrating making it WITHOUT repeating any classes by making a bloggy of my own ^^. i would like to start by pointing out that i won't be updating this daily, but i'll try my best to do it at least 4 times a month. blame it on my hectic AAJ schedule XD
speaking of which, i've already spent a week in my new 2nd year class. my sensei for this semester is Katsuda-sensei, a very genki yet easily sidetracked female japanese teacher in the mid 30's. it's been fun learning with her, and i hope this will be reflected in my exams this coming June. wish me luck guys~
well, i guess that's it for now, i suppose. it's me, signing out. over ;P
